THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE OF INDIECON
The first Indiecon was held at the Naish Holiday Park in the UK in 2008. The idea behind Indiecon was to hold a convention that would appeal to all gamers, giving anyone who had published a game or supplement as a part time activity or on a small scale, the opportunity to run it at the event.
Indiecon was the place to really try something new and possibly run a home game or set of house rules, meet some of the writers and publishers who bought their games to the event, and maybe give gamers the chance to have a game with the creators.
It was a fun themed environment where you could have a break from a slot of your regular games (D&D, CoC, Spycraft Etc.)
The event ran for 9 consecutive years. In 2016 we put the event on hold for a number of reasons, the main ones being the change of management at Naish but also personal commitments.
