Karavakass is a twisted Mage well-versed in the Dark Arts. He has pursued a series of paths of teachings by stealing from others, learning from Grand Masters and rumours tell of him slaying them so only he holds their knowledge as some have vanished.
He sees the Selek Tournament as a mere distraction to hone his skills whilst identifying potential targets between duels to further his power.
He is at the heart of a new form of Death Magic that blends necromancy, the propagation of pestilence and powerful poisons and toxins.
The Empire has set a price on his head as he represents a growing threat and they fear he is also in league with Darkun Factions...
Sarosha-Zar comes from a wealthy Selek family of nobles, the Zarosi. They hold multiple mining concessions and are a powerful political force who use corruption, manipulation and guile to control those around them.
Sarosha-Zar was a rebel even in her early years and never wanted to follow the path laid out for her by her parents. Instead she travelled to some of the most remote places on the Continent in search of bettering her knowledge of the dark arts and magic.
This is the means she has chosen to express herself freely and far from the constraints of her station. She joined a ferocious and long forgotten Air Cult in the highest regions of the Krill Mountain Range and now has decided to show the true power of her learnings in the Selek Arena.

Kayden-Vor is a high-ranking Selek Earth Cult Mage who has been trained in the art of using rock, earth and stone to crush his enemies.
He is a Selek Arena regular who aims to attract more faithful adepts to his temple ranks through the demonstration of his art. He has a reputation of being cold-blooded and calculating but his absolute inner peace is the reason for projecting such impressions as he is difficult to read. This makes him a formidable opponnent. There is no way of knowing where his next attack is coming from.
He despises the Empire as they burned down his border family farmstead when they refused allegiance to the Empire. Make no mistake, shards of rock will hurtle towards his enemies with devastating precision and firepower!
​Maravoss Kar has been trained in the arts of powerful offensive water-based magic that draw from resources around him and maximise impact and injury.
He was an upcoming priest from the Water Cult who travelled to the kingdom of ettika to forge new alliances but after a bitter dispute and a falling-out with his superiors, he decided to find his own way, venturing into the old catacombs of Metbetoch in search of powerful magic.
He found his new path there and has never looked back.
Selek is his new home now. He is one of the arena Champions of Karnarcos.

Mursa is a cruel Mandorian sorceress from the Darkun Cobra Faction. She is rumoured to have slit her own eyein order to cast some ancient form of Death Magic.
Mursa is a ruthless individual who craves power and whowill stop at nothing to further her designs. She has spentseveral years studying and experimenting with DeathMagic.
The Cobras: This Earth Cult sub-faction comprises ofaround six hundred Darkuns. All members bear the signof the Cobra tattooed on their bodies.Their favourite weapons are throwing-knives and mini-crossbows.
They also use a great deal of poison and prefer to operate alone.
Cyradessa was in the service of Gathedor, the tremendously powerful Fire mage from Karnarcos. She then decided to find her own path by heading into the most hostile regions of the Desert of Targhos where she learnt primitive Fire Magic from the Thargians themselves, the very source of early magic. She has refined he skills and crafted some of the most pyrotechnically spectacular spells the crowds of Selek have seen.
She also combines hand to hand and lethal dagger fighting techniques powered by fire that make her a formidable opponent. Cyradessa is a crowd favourite who leaves the arena floor littered with the burning husks of her fallen foes...
