Default Creatures

I'm sure i read somewhere on the website or forum that a creature book is due out at some point. Is this still going ahead?

Would it be worth using this thread to compile where various creature descriptions can be found in the supplements that don't appear in the core rulebook? (The example i am thinking of here is of horses which i believe are detailed more fully in the Knight book.)

Whilst waiting for a creature book perhaps we could post descriptions of creatures on here if anyone has some good ones. I'm thinking more along the mundane creature line as opposed to the more fantastical monsters. I think war dogs, birds of prey, snakes etc. would be really useful to help flesh out scenarios. (It might be that they already exist but where? Hence the compilation idea ?)

I am especially interested in hearing from MT's who have used created creatures that worked well. I am new to the game and therefore don't have a great feel for power levels and what makes opponents dangerous yet (though i'm sure i will find that out with time ).

Well, to get the ball rolling i think that it might be worth including NPC archetypes which have been listed in the supplements as well, mainly because the most common type of opponent is going to be a human / elf / dwarf etc.

I have just finished the core rulebook and noted a couple of creatures that aren't in the creatures section in the second scenario.

Goblin Warrior
Goblin Champion

(Going by the description in the scenario there should be stats for a Cave Bear as well but i haven't been able to find them.)

Good day,

you are absolutely right. In fact 1st Ed had over 80 creatures and their stats in th book but far less of the 2nd Ed other material. I will start making a few key creatures available in the meantime before the Thargos Bestiary is published.
